Sound Installation / Field Recording

Antelope Canyon : Sound Installation is one of three immersive sound pieces Glossier has comissioned from Charlie Klarsfeld. For this project, he ventured off into the depths of the Arizona desert to record a striking collection of site specific sounds, ranging from haunting canyon winds to distant circling vultures. He even ventured into a seldom travelled, albeit treacherous section of the iconic Antelope Canyon with two Navajo guides, where he used the latest technology to record the frequency response of the canyon, allowing him to recreate the reverb of the space with ineffable accuracy.
