Experimental Sound

Renowned Chinese artist Liu Bolin is known as the “Invisible Man” for painting himself in situ in a range of politically cultural and relevant settings. He brought his work to life with 12 hand-painted pieces at NYFW SS 18.

For this collaboration, Klarsfeld created a soundscape and performed live with seven-year old piano prodigy Zhao Zitang. The work featured deconstructed layering of electronic and classical motifs in real time, acting as an auditory extension of Bolin’s  superimposed imagery.
